Capital Calibra is sired (and heavily stamped) by Capital Stud’s foundation stallion Capital Capriccio. Capriccio is by one of the most influential sires of modern breeding, Cor de la Bryere, and out of a mare by Capitol I. Capital Capriccio has followed in his sire’s footsteps, being an influential stallion not only for Capital Stud but South African warmblood breeding. He is one of the best producers of dams this country has ever seen, and if one looks back at all of the auction horses out of Capital Capriccio mares the value inherent in Capital Calibra becomes even clearer.
Capital Calibra is out of the legendary Hannoverian mare, Greta, who competed at Grand Prix in South Africa and was an exceptional breeder of broodmares and competition horses alike.
